Hi Corsamel, your welcome to take a peek at any time over the weekends. It's away on business the rest of the time.
I'm just starting a new project, my Merc CLK carputer, I've ordered a Chyang Fun AMD CellBox and a 7" in dash touch screen. I should have it layed out on the test bed pretty soon.

Hi Mel, I'm actually from Irlam, but I've lived in Sale for 6 years. I would love to meet up, but at the mo, no tax on the Van and no drive way either (being block paved) so in a bit of a state of flux, anyhow, I'm sure we can arrange something soon.
I'm right in Sale town center so only 2 mins from the Brooklands junction.
I'm currentlt test benching the new PC for the Merc, it's a Chyang Fun Cell box with an Athlon XP2000, 512MB, 20GB HD, 5 serial ports and 4 USB 2.0 ports. D-link USB radio and a GPS-35 receiver and an IRman.
Also looking at Media Engine, but seems very flaky. Maybe V2.0 will be a big improvement. It seems single tasked so that if you want music, you cant navigate etc....I've installed AR 2003 and pacthed it up for 1 sec updates, This seems ok, but I may go for AR 2004, also Destinator 2 looks good, but a bit pricey.
Awaiting a 7" VGA screen from Digital WW, can't wait for that....
Craig

Well the drive is complete, can't see it for leaves now, bit at least I can put the van back on it.
I will be re-insuring/taxing the van pretty soon and upgrading the software to AR2004 and the display to an indash VGA touch screen.
So when we have that meet at the Trafford Center I should be running the vanPC, or is that Vanputer?

Yeah Trafford one night would be good, I reckon. Meet up somewhere, examine all the builds, then go grab a Starbucks or something.

Ez now,
another from up North, Merseyside.
Status: still in the research phase
Reason: Didn't wanna pay £1300 for a fancy DVD head unit when I can have a full PC with twice the screen for half the price.
A meet in Warrington on Monday night might be good as I usually attend meets there anyway

Hmm, I know Kayll. He's OK, and gets things done, but can be a bit of a Prima Donna if he doesn't get his own way. That is why he Started DC, when he was kicked out of CruiseCheshire and decided to start his own Monday night event to clash.
Also he made some threats against people I know in the past, because they told him online what they thought of him, (dodgy phone calls, that sort of thing, letters through the guys shop doorway). Can't prove anything, but he was the only person he upset.
Also Revs mag was going to do a legal V illegal cruise. Kayll was all upfor it, until Revs said they were going to use the Cruise cheshire Monday night, and then he refused to be allowed to be printed, or quoted in the article, and he was the main spokesman for illegal events, and in most of the photos they had taken.
