The bad news is PEOPLE ARE STUPID!!

Now comes the bad news. First of all I want to get this out of my chest...PEOPLE ARE STUPID!!!! Ok heres what happened. Saturday Aug 2nd 03, I took a lunch around 1 PM. I got off work around 6PM. I never physically open my door. I've always use my alarm to pop open my door and watch the door swing half way open automatically. I always get a kick out of watching it. Thats why I always use my alarm to open the door after work. I never notice anything. I got home and parked in the garage. Later that night I was going to the store. I walked up to the door and lift up the door handle to open it. It didnt open, hmmmm. I look at the lock and its unlocked. lift the handle again and it wont open. Arm the alarm then disarm the alarm, still wont open. Try the door popper and it opens. After I check the door lock, I got out of the truck and turn on the light. I look at the handle. As it turn out between 1:30PM and 6PM, someone tried to break in to my truck and ****ed up my handle. What a dumbass. My LCD screen looks like it came with the car and my face is detached. Theres no RCA jacks on the LCD. It took me a day to assemble the dash back together. There's no way they can get anything out of my truck with in 5 minutes. This really ****ed me off. It's going to cost me $200 dollars to get a new handle, key cylinder, and have it rekeyed. That's not including fixing the door, paint surrounding the door handle. I cant afford to have body work done on it so Im going to leave it and bend the metal back out and just leave the scratches alone. Now I gotta start saving money for those (2-125db)sirens, mobile time elapse recorder, hidden camera, and a compact deep cycle battery. GOD PEOPLE ARE STUPID. Well I gotta thank the dude up stairs cuz the idiot didnt manage to break in or break the window.

HI man atleast you are lucky and they didnt manage to break in, but the same thing happend to me in daytona beach Florida on spring break nationl this year first day i was there they tried couldnt get it but the third day they came back and broke the window and jack all my tvs and everything... TO bad they left the brain for my tv... Anways all the money u got in that truck Why dont u get rid of the Clifford alarm and get you one of those lcd one by dei and etc atleast it will beep when your alarm is going off. Dont get me wrong i was going to get the same alarm as you got but i figure its useless if i am in a building cuz i wont know it the thing is going off, but i guess your car audio installer so you know better then me.

My next alarm for my next CarPC project will be the Clifford Matrix RS3. It has the same 2 way paging LCD remote as the DEI ones plus I think it's also G5 compatible so I can still use my cliffnet wizard pro software with it. DEI version doesnt support GUI like Cliffnet.
