Post install on a 95 honda civic

Hi all,

I'm wondering if anyone has done an mp3 install on a '95 Honda civic coupe (or something around those lines)?

Just had a few 'placement' questions if anyone has.

Thanks.

In my 95 civic there's not much place to put a display (lcd or character)... Right now I have it inbetween the seats just behind the shifter but its kinda an odd place. I was wondering if any of you guys have mounted anything just above the rearview mirror and how the wiring would be for that.

I put Partsexpress 5" screen in front of the shifter (manual) where the cup holders are. It is held down with a bungie cord (for quick removal)

Has a picture of it. This is in a 96 Civic LX but I believe the dash and stuff are the same (could be wrong been a while since I was in a Honda)

Ya, '96 is when they changed the whole car quite a bit including the cup holders. =)

My car ('95) just has budget flip up holders so there's not much space to put displays there unless I do some major modifications.

I was thinking of ordering another rearview mirror holder and mounting my display to that. Possibly.

I got a 94 hatch and I was planning to put my 4x40 above the mirror. I would run the wires along the top side of the windshield to the A pillar. I would than put it behind the plastic for a cleaner look down to the floor and along the side to the trunk where the computer was.

Now I'm working on putting the 5.6 LCD under the radio with the use of center console of an SI that doesnt have the ash tray and lighter.

Your other option would be to put it in the glove box or where your a/c controls are and move those into the glove box, but that would be a lot of work.

good luck
