Cliffs: USB 1.1 sucks

Copying 25 gigs of music to an external enclosure over USB 1.1 sucks ***.

OK had to vent !

Must be the Jornada. The microdrive isn't all that bad.

USB 1.1 does suck though.

I feel your pain.. I had to do the same thing to get all my music onto my carputer....

I gave up waiting for it.. ran an extension cord in the back door of the suv and plugged
the laptop in, locked the door and just came back in a few hours

Oh please... do any of you remember 300 baud modems? Try copying 10 meg data files over that... as a comparison.. it took a couple DAYS!!!

trancified: Was't it awesome when you finally could connect with 8 bit and use ZModem with your 2400 Baud modem .... It was a huge leep from the 300 baud using Kermit

Pop the drive out and plug it into your local IDE bus...

Normally I would use my mobile rack, but it's now permanent (swap file & extras)

And cracking this beast open is NOT an option.
