Case mounting in trunk
I just finished building a small wood box/case thing for my computer to put in the trunk. The only thing I cannot figure out is how to easily secure the case to the trunk. I was looking for how others do this.

I mounted mine on the back of my rear seat. I just screwed it and used rubber grommets to space it off and provide some shock protection.

The backs of my seats are some sort of wood covered in carpet, so I just used some wood screws.

Yeah, I'm looking for a way to mount my carputer in my car. My main problem is that I only bought my car 6 months ago (brand new) so I really don't want to go putting holes in the backs of my seats or anything like that.

I have had my car for a few years, it is a 99, and i still don't really want to drill holes but will if nothing else works after I try the velcro. Maybe i can try to pick some up after work but don't really know where to go.

The back of my seats are metal covered by the carpet. I used drywall screws that go right through both easily. If I remove the screws, the holes are impossible to see. I wouldn't worry too much about that.
If your carpet is attached well on the base of your trunk, velcro could work. I know my carpet held on to velcro very well.

Try a Fabric store, they usually sell it by the yard. It is the sew on velcro, not adhesive backed. The velcro sticks to the carpet in the trunk, and then just wrap it around the top of your case.
