anyone made any super ideas besides a book? something clean, and factory looking..

I didn't want to give my idea away, but I was thinking of trying to make some sort of roll-top, like the old roll-top desks. You'd have to set the screen in a bit, then make the frame, then you could use a whole bunch of slats (aluminum, wood, plexi...) that would slide down over the screen. The only hard part would be storage for them when it's up.

Otherwise, I like the idea of a velcro'd on plate, perhaps with an old stock faceplate over it, like some have done.

Hey what have you got againt literacy? My notebook/security system is also heavily used by my two up and coming artists sons.

Well... I'm re-doing my whole dash in fiberglass so I'm thinking of doing something like this:

Even though this is build in already I have been thinking of this for a while now.
