I've heard that the AMD chips are power hungry, but i haven't heard that celerons are especially low-power.

Either way, i have a duron mobo coming. But i think i'm returning it.

I'm not sure yet.

Ok so that motherboard came yesterday. I'm still thinking about that MSI computer. Does anyone have any experience with one?

Anything glaringly wrong or bad about it? I don't have forever to return this mobo, so i need to make a decision quick.

Ok, I'm not going to mention any names, moahdib, but I know a few of you have them. I already have to pay at $20 restock fee on this dumb motherboard so I'd like to know if the MSI is worth the money you have to pay for it.

Pweez?

I think the MSI is currently one of the best bookPC's out there. The sound is great. It's ac97 audio and I was using winamp and copilot 2001 at same time ( copilot talks to you) and I could hear both very clearly.
THe tv-out works beautifully also. You have space to put a big heatsink and fan also by moving the HD to the floppy slot. Overall I give it a 9 out of 10 =)
The price might be a little steep but its worth it considering the nice compact design and all the features it has.

Rats. That's not what I want to hear. I want to hear that it's terrible and not worth the money. That way I won't be tempted to spend any more than I already have.

But seriously, if it's good, then me wants.

I didn't need this other mobo anyway...

I agree with moahdib on all counts. It works great. I can use CoPilot and Winamp simultaneously.

Although my music can make CoPilot a bit hard to hear sometimes. Hey moahdib, know a way to turn up CoPilot's volume relative to the music? They both seem to be controlled by wave volume meter.

I'm using the standard heatsink and it works good, but I'm in a relatively cool climate. I might do what moahdib later just to hedge my bets.

My favorite part is that is has 2 PCI slots, so if I ever have a problem with a function fo the machine (tv-out, sound) I can get a PCI card for that. Or if I want to add some new feature.

I can't seem to find a way to control copilot voice. For me it sounds ok. You just have to find the right balance by controlling winamp volume... I dont think copilot has a volume control.
