how did you guys anchor your computers in the trunk?
I am probably going to finally install my system this weekend, but I need to know how you guys secured your pcs in the trunk. I know some of you used bungee cords, but I want to secure it by using something else so it doesn't look too ghetto (no offense to the guys who did you bungee cords)
thanks!

I put a small area of carpet down for a small amount of shock protection but mainly for the velcro on the computer side.
sticks pretty good.

I'll be using metal "L" brackets to secure the whole box. I have a sheet of 1/4" plywood in the back of the SUV that I secure all the amps, etc., to. I'll be simply using sheet metal or wood screws, I prefer sheet metal, to secure the L-brackets to the plywood.

In an accident it becomes a very heavy projectile that will go right through the rear seats.
Best to anchor it somehow.

My pc has 16 cables coming off the back of it, all tightly tied down, and the whole thing is right up against the seat back.
I was in 1 collision ( ******* came to a dead stop in the middle of the express way) I was doing 70, I imagine from the damage, I was down around 30 when I hit the guy - needless to say, the pc was fine. And incase my inshurence adjuster is reading this - no, I wasnt watching DvD's

I use "rug tape".. it's a rubber mat with a light adhesive that is designed to hold rugs on vinyl or hardwood floors.. it's great that box won't budge even going from 70 to 0 in a hurry.
