I came across this on MSN this morning. It has a listing of a few car companies that are putting computer related hardware into their new cars.

I really like that XM Nactraffic service. Hopefully there will be a way for us to integrate it into the pc.

Yeah, that's what piqud my interest, as well. THAT would be worth the subscription to XM for me.

We all are looking now for something to replace XMPCR since you cant buy the hardware anymore except for a few last ones being sold at really high prices

If you just want traffic alerts in your car, hook up a cell phone via bluetooth/IR/serial cable and then sign up for free MSN/Verizon/<your carrier here> SMS traffic alerts. A very simple app could be written to read in any SMS messages and display them onscreen when they arrive.
