Red Sox World Champions

As a Sox fan I will now take the time to celebrate openly.

Thank you Red Sox! It's only been 86 years!

It's been an amazing month here in Boston, Up 3 games to 0, 3 runs to 0, two outs in the 9th Sox Nation still never really beleived it was going to happen. There had to be some evil plan to thwart it but no, the curse is broken, Go Sox!

Chris.

How can it be a world championship if it's only US teams? Just something thats bugging me.

Heh, as a Brit living in Boston I couldn't agree more, but you get used to it, over here the world pretty much ends when you reach the border. Give credit where credit is due, the best way to assure yourselves of being world champion is to not let other countries play!

I thought that whole Bambino's Curse thing was funny. People were bringing Babe Ruth printouts that looked like ghosts in the stands.

I knew her and went to high school with her. It's really been a local tragedy. I never thought the Sox could win the Series and I'd be anything less than 100% happy.

Just a question; is it hard to stay loyal to a team that (until now) never wins?

Its something that always makes me wonder... Like, does your dad say to you when you are growing up: "This is our team, they dont win, but its our team??"

(this is coming from non-sports lover, so forgive me if the answer is obvious)
