ahhhh CMOS issues

ahhh.. thisis driving me crazy... after finally getting everything for my carputer I hoooked everything up with an internal 160 watts power supply and loaded all the drivers etc and and got everything working fabricated my panels etc for the lilliput and cd rom drive and installed everything in the car once I connected the opus for some reason it started acting up. The bios detects it as a 1800 instead of a 2400 and before it was all setup and was reading as a 2400 at the workstation. The memory frequency was 233 before but it reads at 200 and when I go into the bios to change the setting and save it the board refuses to boot up.

Any ideas on why my CMOS setting changed from switching power supplies??

I unplu the power cable to the mobo and set it back in and start up it gives me an error saying that I have to try resetting my processor speed and memory speed and to continue or go to bios. If I choose continue it loads up windows.. shut it down and restart it it runs fine.. its only when I am trying to make any changes in the bios that it hangs on me. Even ehen I try to change the power mode from S1 to S3 and try to save the changes it hangs?

Any ideas?
