What mobo are you running to get such fast boot times? My mobo's post takes more than 20 seconds, after that, the bit I have control of only takes 2-3 seconds.

Well for the people that are using older mobos, you might go into the Bios settings and turn off memory check, this is a feature that runs through the memory every time to check for any bad modules. So when this is not going, your pretty much onto loading the cdrom and HD, and off to windoze. I only say this because I worked on an old system the other month, and every time I restarted to test changes, it would take for ever counting mem and I got lazy qith the ESC key, so I turned it off. Not really any harm done, unless you have a bad mem stick, then the mobo just won't tell you, and youll find out later when loading, cant write...bla bla BLUE, and then you know to start testing. But thats all.
Later
ps. hey Charles...1 sec my *** lol

10 seconds from the time I hit the power button till windows 98 is running. See setup below. Probably helps that the hard drive is totally empty hey?

I had my system running in 19sec from cold boot.. (this was actually to see if all was working properly)

Now everything.. (and I really mean everything) is lying apart, and have to make a decent case and a decent lcd-cable.. (tried 2 times already.. both worked, but i wasn't satisfied. )

Greetz...

BTW..
Which soundcard would sound better. ? the 64bit-ISA or the 128bit-PCI
The 64bit has an extra control panel to adjust bass & treble, which I haven't found on the 128-PCI card

if your using winamp, make usage of the EQ..... I am using a Vibra 128 since they are easy to find/nice and cheap.
