I guess I'm not alone when I say that the VW lineup is unappealing. This 1 guy at school has a new GTi, its really fun watching him do FWD burouts This guy's friend has a new Jetta, and its nothing special, you can probably get a Ford and get more features

VW'a models are out of date. The Jetta's design is from '96. As well as the Passat's design, with a few face lifts. The new generation of Golf looks too much like the old model. I'm not sorry I bought the Megane, though the quality of the materials used inside is lower than in a VW. I wanted the new 407 from Peugeot. When I saw it at first in the pictures I loved it, but when I saw it in reality I changed my mind. I'm thinking of changing the Megane with an Avensis, but where I'm from they don't bring in the full options model, and I really wanted Xenon lights and leather seats. Things you get from VW for a price more than 24000$.
You can get far more features from a Citroen

Yeh, the VWs are out of date. Plus, I haven't heard great things about their reliability

Funny you should say that Cris - I wasn't sure about the 407 when I first saw it. The place I work buys fleets from Peugeots and I see them all the time and now I sort of like it, but only from the front/three quarters.
Yeah VW's are boring, but they have a reason for it - apparently their customers don't like drastic changes, whereas a manufacturer like Renault don't mind not selling that many cars in order to have a bit of avant-garde design in their line up. But having said that, you're right - Renault's interiors are pretty cheap.....

How about a Chevy 9c1 Police Package Oli cooler,tranny cooler,140amp alt,lt1 260hp engine,dual exhaust,25mpg highway,etc.

Also the 94-96 gm wagons are nice. I picked up a 94 roadmaster wagon with LT1,air ride, and towing package oil and tranny cooler, 45k miles, $2800.

Oh yeh... about salvaged cars. If they carry a salvage title after a "wreck" or an "accident" but have been repaired and you checked that they don't have any frame damage then its a great buy.

9c1 carpices are built to last 300k. 0-60 7-7.5 secs in a lt1 carpice. Where the Crown vics do 0-60 in 8-8.5+ secs. I think 7's is pretty dam good! Plus if your not happy with that, slap on some bolt ons.

Depends on which ones. Crown vics and the New Impala Fwd Drive ones are slow. Carprices and Camaros thats a different story.
