I brought a second hand set off ebay, and got:

7" motorized liliput touch screen
Mini mac (1.6ghz I think, 80gb, 1gig ram, bluetooth, airport)
P1900 Power supply
TV Antenna

all for £320.00

Since then I've only spent £20 on a good amp wiring kit, awaiting a big sound system :P

this all from memory, and mine is pretty bad so it smostly guestamates

barebones MP915-B:..........$239
1.7 GHz processor:............$30
1G ram:...........................$10
120G HD:.........................$99
EBY701:...........................$220
GPS BU-353:.....................$34
bluetooth dongle:...............$19
wifi card:..........................$30
wireless keyboard n mouse:..$30
misc usb hubs:...................$35
misc audio cables:..............$30
some 600w amp from CC:.....$150
amp wire kit:......................$20

TOTAL:.............................$946 or around that.

im happy with it all and the amount i spend is still growing. the only thing i dont like too much is that eby701. it works and all, and the shape and positioning of the buttons of DD perfect. just a cheap screen.

everything fits well in stock locations to not look heavily modified or bulky. i use existing unoccupied space.

Probably spent close to $1000 on my setup. I think I could have probably lowered that down to about $600 if only I had built it right the first time. eg. Not messing around with a fullsized PC strapped in the trunk, inverter, motorized screen... Being a cheapass ended up costing me more in the long run. Oh well...it was a good learning experience.

Never saw this thread, Glad someone brought it back. I have gone through 3 installs to get to were I am at now. Counting all the 2 diffrent MoBos, and all the experiments that failed, i estimate mine to be in the $6,000.00 range. I will warn people, have a solid plan on what you want to do, so you dont get hit like I did. My setup does have just about everything imaginable. I built my setup for highend multimedia.
