Anyone opinions on Worldspace sat radio

Hi

I am down in the Southern hemisphere so XM / Siruis are not available at all, the only offering I have found is Worldspace Satellie Radio (worldspace.com)

Does anyone use it ? what type of PC hardware capabilities are there ? will the XM front end work on it ?

Thanks

WorldSpace has been around for along time, they provide programming for some of the channels on XM. XM's system was partly based on the WorldSpace design.

The only problem with WorldSpace is that the system is not designed for mobile use. Their satellites do not broadcast with anywhere near the signal power that XM or Sirius do and they do not have any ground based repeaters. The whole design of their service doesn't even have half of the signal redundency that XM or Sirius' broadcasts do.

WorldSpace is meant for stationary reception only. It performs poorly when moving.
