and I DON'T want to see any pictures of anyone acting like a complete moron on their bikes....ie. stoppies, wheelies, etc....I don't give a ***** about how cool you think it is or how cool you THINK it makes you look, you are a moron for doing it and I hope you realize how much you ruin riding for the rest of the responsible world....not to mention I should slap you for making MY insurance go sky high because of your stupid childish antics....
ok, with that said.....who rides?
lol
There is a time and place for riding like a crazy, but childish antics alone don't push up insurance premiums. Maybe you should first slap the people that steal bikes!

Well me I got myself a Triumph TT600, bought for use on track days, and occasional trips to gym and outrides over the weekends etc, a bike is awesome fun and helluva scary if you get it wrong........but I am glad that I took the time to learn a new skill, hauling around a race track doing counter steering has to rate as one of lifes great experiences, heres a pic of me at my first track day last year, the riding has improved, the weight has reduced, the leathers have arrived, the next track day is first week of feb.....

Not true. I have been at days at Phillip Island, Eastern Creek, Winton and few others all up until recently allowed jeans. It was at the descretion of the ride day promoter. Now that Superbike school has the sole rights to PI and EC, leathers will probably be mandatory. Unfortunately this is not real good for the novices that cannot afford to buy full leathers to do a track day. Not to mention that the price will now be going up atleast 30% because of Superbike School. Of course boots and gloves have been mandatory for years.
@SAScooby. How do you find the TT? Have you had a chance to ride other bikes to compare it? i must say the new Trumpy 650 looks like a goer!

Hiya Meddler
Its my first big 'un so I find it awesome, I have ridden the Suzuki K3 GSXR 600 and the Honda Blackbird
I must say that the Suzuki is way smoother than the Triumph but it does not feel as planted in the corners, the Triumph has a very comfortable ridign position, the Triumph also outbrakes the GSXR with ease, even though I am really proud of the Triumph and find it amazing, I think the Suzuki represents a better bike.
The Blackbird is insane !!!! way way too much power !!!! and odd brakes I never could feel confident on the Blackbird, the brakes made it feel twitchy on the track and the power was way too much for a novice !!!!
Having said what I said about the Triumph the new Daytona is right there with the jap bikes on all counts, I am just waiting for my local dealer to get some stock as i am definetly considering it as an upgrade, I have done the sit and rev test at a local motor show, and it felt good and not nearly as rough as the TT600, time will tell
We have different classes here in South Africa for track school and in novice class, leathers are not compulsory, once you move up a class or two then they become compulsory I am not so sure if I would want to hire someone elses sweaty leathers thats for sure .......

I'm driving a yamaha diversion xj600s and have got my license for about 5 years now. Bought this bike because i could get it fairly cheap at the time which was great because i was still in school then and didn't have a lot of money. I'm giving the diversion away to my dad and going to buy a yamaha R6 for myself.

Been riding dirtbikes since i was about 5. My first street bike was a 94 yamaha fzr 600 that was bored out and used the wiseco big bore kit to make it 630cc's. Also ported, polished, blueprinted, advanced timing, kevlar clutch, racing exhaust, sprockets, and lots of other little stuff. Now I ride a 02' Honda RC-51. 1000cc's of V-twin fun.
The story of the bike and more pictures can be seen here!!!

My bikes...
1972 Yamaha XS650
1985 Honda VT 1100C Shadow
2000 Ducati 900 SuperSport
I often strap my iPAQ (w/ 5 gig drive) to the Honda and connect it to my intercom system for long trip tunes... guess that kind of counts as a bikeputer, eh?

oh I know, but if I were to list all of the reasons we would be here for DAYS!
not only do they help add to the insurance, they also help add to the hate that a lot of people have for motorcycles and the people that ride them....

that's the way the track here in town is....and the groups that put on the track days also require full leathers as well.....
I don't think I would want to be on a track in jeans....no matter how good of a rider I thought I was....which is why I haven't been to a track day yet....well that and if I go down on my bike i'm out of an easy method of transportation right now for going to and from school and work.....waiting till I graduate, then it's ON!
