and you have to live in the NJ area?

EDIT:
P.S. There probably isn't the right forum for this type of thing.

We would prefer you be in the NJ area because the scope of work involved will require on-site collaboration to take place on a regular basis.

We're not soliciting free work.. we do intend to compensate all participants appropriately. Right now we're only looking for the availability of developers in the area who would be interested in taking part in this project.

they should but its not fair to the guys here who put all this time into keeping it free and then someone comes along and start selling it.

Though I'd like to agree, b/c it's always nice being able to get things free, I do believe in free enterprise. But, saying that, you gotta keep in mind that it's not like Frodo or any of the other guys devote 100% of their time to their frontends. If they did and they made their frontend available to download free they would be committing suicide (unless they had a nice inheritance or something of course ).

We all really appreciate what those guys do for us and how they're so helpful about updating and fixing bugs in their software and the like. However, there are some people who might want to pay for a frontend so they have the piece of mind knowing they have someone's work that they are paid for (and in turn have an incentive to make it as close to perfect as possible) over free projects.

Anyway, that's my two cents.

How is that not fair? If someone is selling their software then YOU have the choice of which you want to use. Of course if there are two pieces of software that are equally made you are going to choose the free one.

this is no different than the other companies like drivesoft who sell their software. It's just this time they are looking for people here who are a part of the community to help out and get paid for it.
