Dodge Ram 2500 Center Console Laptop

I was wondering if anyone could give me some ideas on how to construct a mechanism in my center console where I could push a button and a platform that holds my laptop would rise up? The platform would be made of two pieces of flat metal and it would have a swivel at one end so when it was opened and rose up I could swivel it over my lap. Has anyone ever done this? I guess really what I'm asking is what device could I use to put under the two pieces of metal to make it rise up at the push of a button>?

Oh yeah, I am trying to think of some kind of bearing or something that I could buy to make the two pieces of metal swivel. Any ideas?
