It really sucks when you think the carputer is broken...

It really sucks when you think the carputer is broken...

Only to find out it was left on pause before it went into hibernate. I have done this a couple times now dragging it inside to a monitor to see what is wrong. Only if I could figure out where that loose wire is!

Any other good ones out there?

I've done that several times! My first carputer only had a character LCD and occasionally windows popups would take focus away from my app detecting keypad presses. I learned to keep an old 15" monitor in my garage. If you're in good standing with your local Comp Renaissance (or other overpriced used computer parts supplier), you can usually get a deal on one of the hundreds of old monitors they have laying around.

I just saw your sig - Jeeps must like to torment their owners when computers are installed!

I don't even have a character LCD. I do it all blindfolded while sitting upside down. I just use the monitor from my other computer when I need to work on it.

What signature? No torment from my Jeep.

Err... Yea... That thingy on the left.
And my Jeep inflicted undue stress on my computer when it was installed. Thus, the painful install. It seems to have done the same in your case.
Aww... nevermind. Drunk thinking never pans out correctly.....
