The forums actually go back before that date. That's the date of the last hard drive crash and we lost all of the mp3car data in 1999. Backup procedures have since been implemented.

The earliest I remember reading this site was 2000. Back then I think it was when there were memberpages, and space for them on the site. I didn't have a car and didnt for a few more years. I just knew it was extremely freaking cool so i would read about it and plan out carpcs and car audio stuff. Then i started reading the forums and FIinally registered when i started driving and wanting to truely build one.

I don't really remember how or why I found this site, but it was a few years ago. I'm so glad that we now have a forum. When I started coming here, it was just a bunch of homepages that talked about people putting computers in their cars. I though that was totally cool. Ever since, I've been laughed at by many people because I wanted to put a computer in my car. I know I couldn't have done it without this site...thanks alot guys!
