38, wow, I suddenly feel old..........., I guess that's why some people talk like it's always been plug & play.......... like there have always been lilliputs & opuses......... like there has always been usb, I guess for them it has been, well, let me tell you, back in MY day you had to configure everything MANUALLY, configure every irq address, why back in my day they didn't even have those fancy lcd thingy's, we had to put tube monitors in, & think DOS/windows 3.11, why back in MY day...... O.K., I'll stop now....
just have to add that you children don't KNOW how easy you have it now adays!!!!

33 here... the statement above sounds so familiar... I was installing competition systems to keep cash in hand while getting my electronics degree... I started installing around '89... I still like the stuff but have NO interest in doing it for a living again even though I have friends trying to get me back into it. Anyway, yeah, stuff was MUCH more expensive back in the day!
