Mickey's Car?
Red,
What is Mickey running as a Head Unit/Source in his dash and in the Rear View mirror?
The in-dash unit looks like it might have a character LCD with contols and CD drive beneath?
Can't tell what he has in his mirror. . . .

He is running the Rockford Fosgate Symmetery. It's a processor, all kinds of EQ and crossover controlls.....it's really the predicesor to the Alpine piece that I am running in my car now. They haven't made that piece since the mid 90s though.....it's an excelent piece....back with Fosgate was at the top of the game...
As for his rearview mirror, it's just the display for his radio....molded in....below the Symmetry piece is the regular CD player slot....it's just the face for that CD player that's been relocated to his rear-view mirror

hey red, when you get a chance look at my install & tell me what you think....I haven't installed the sub yet (which will most likely be just one 13")& I'm just running the front stage right now at around 150 watts total off 1 mcintosh... but these four simple drivers sound increadable..... better than most whole systems I've heard many cars & I've never heard anything like this one, I even impressed myself I don't have all my pictures up, but I added a few right now.........might just have to see what she can do in the lanes......

what sanctioning body are you considering competing in? if it's USACi, I'll be at most of the local shows down here, as well as (hopefully) nationals in Kansas city Mo.....might be able to meet up sometime!

Congratulations Red on an awesome victory. You do amazing work and it's cool that you got the well-deserved recognition. Woot!
Thanks for posting all the great pics. I especially like the one with the receiver mounted to a church-style podium..."And on the 8th day the Lord said, let there be REALLY loud ****."

I don't know really, used to be iasca but I guess it depends what's local & avail. to me,not to mention I haven't seen a rulebook or classes for over 10 years now, so I don't even know where I'll fit best. I seriously doubt I'll be doing any long distance traveling for this & I'm east coast.....who knows what the future holds though....
as far as the sub, I've been considering the jl 13w6..... I don't have enough power to run a 13w7 with this amp...I'll have 2 channels available with 300w each at 4 ohms,& I can't bridge them on this amp for those two channels.....
still looking around at other possibilitys, but I'm limited to the 300x2 @4ohms. which means it must be a dvc design, I can only go up to a little less than 2cu.ft for the spot I have for the sub, maybe a lttle more for the right sub if I build it out slightly. it will be built into the left qtr panel....the right qtr. already has 1 amp & the motorized mech for the power sliding door....any ideas for a sub?... must meet the req.s I've mentioned & be a sq sub...........I'm open to suggestions..............
