Newbie Carputer in Zafira GSI

Hi everyone, just found the site and want to add a decent setup in my car, first thing is has anyone put in one of these in a Zafira before, if so any pics for ideas?

The plan is to install a 7" touch screen, my laptop which is a PIII 800 with 10GB hdd which will be fine for mp3 and divx etc... I have a car adapter to power the laptop and a JVC mp3 head unit, I also have a 800watt amp and a JL 12" Sub. I've never install a amp or sub before so what i want to do is use the amp to power all the speakers/sub which is 4x5" door speakers and 4x mids and anyone recommend the best way to setup this or even if it will work? I would like to get rid of the head unit and just use the laptop.

Main questions are.

1. Will my amp be able to power all the speakers/sub?
2. Is there anywhere which shows u how to wire in the amp and door speakers?
3. Where good in the UK for all the extra bits i might need?

first off, welcome!

use the search function in the upper right part of the page, enter in your car and search. Do this for all of your questions, it will save you a lot of hastle from people like myself...lol

there is a LOT of information avaliable on this forum, use that to your advantage. You will learn a LOT more from researching than you will from just asking questions.

Now onto your specific questions!

1. We need to know the exact modoel number of your amplifier. That will tell us if it's a 5 channel amplifier, if it's not chances are you are asking for gold from wheat in trying to get it to powe all 5 channels.

2. Search, both here on the MP3car.com site and on the web, there are plenty of sites out there that will hold your hand through the install

My Amp is a

Rally by Caliber 800w CA-4800

Also for a quick way to get sound from my laptop, on the newbie page there it the quick install to get sound from pc to stereo and i think i need a Aux in adapter, is there anywhere online in the uk i can get one of these? (also how do they connect on my stereo it says in the menu CD Changer or Line In does the aux adapter connect to the RF Input?)
