I've been emailing techtv lately to try and get some noise made. They did a feature on their show, "fresh gear" about some guy that had a laptop in his car - Whooo Hoooo! Talk about hardwork and originality

Went TechTV Was Still ZD-TV The Screen Savers Did A Whole Show On MP3 Cars, They Had 2 Cars, A Truck, And A Mini Van. That Was A Great Show. I Have Not Seen It As A Rerun Sence They Are Now TechTV

Well. I forgot to add ( but I did in the techtv emails ) that in my area I never had zdtv. We just recently got techtv. I wish I had caught that episode. Thanks for informing me. I guess I can stop bugging them

i find it kind of funny that mp3car.com is one of the largest mp3 car sites on the internet and i havent seen many people mention it in their articles and interviews.

Anyone actually read the Cnet article and find it outstandinly funny that the suggest BUYING plans from carplayer.com for $20 bucks. If you need to pay 20 bucks for info on how to build one...you probably dont know jack about computers (which is extremely hard to come by nowadays) and shouldnt be building it in the first place.

This is so true. All you ever hear about is the bigger guys like q-pc and gnet. All offering in-car computing solutions. What really rags me is how they try and come off as pioneers.

I agree with all above guys. It really ****s me when u read articles in the press/internet/media written by the news services 'resident expert' on the issue and they get it all so wrong....

some parts of that C-Net article made me crinch at how wrong it all was...

There are so many articles out there that just make me laugh. We have all been seriously unminded and overlooked. Unless you have a system a large manufacture has engineered, you're *****.

I remember when the guys from g-net used to post on here trying to sell stuff. I'm sure they didn't get any ideas off here.

Yeah, I may be blowing off some steam but that is some crap. I'm seriously about to join the band wagon here and try and get some sponsorship. I (as we all do on here) have some really cool ideas I'd like to try, but unfortunatley I'm not Bill Gates.

A computer manufacture or local store would make out better on sponsoring, but most likely wouldn't. In fact they would most likely see your idea, modify it using their products and market it. Us little guys always get the shaft!

I got this email today from some guy who built his first "car PC" says he's been working on it for over a year (not even done yet) and he sends me his market proposal. It's just the run of the mill full-sized PC build in a plexi case. He thinks he's another "pioneer" Some people HAVE NO idea. He's plans on venturing into business with it I guess.
