If they can't prove it's your driving, how can they give you a ticket? There is no way. I don't live in LA, I'm up north cali, but i'm pretty sure a fix it ticket is $10 most of the state, since its a correctible violation. We pay them all the time, never have front plates, get pulled over, put the plate on and have a cop sign the ticket, pay the $10, take it off again.

Oh, and my friend got a red light ticket in another friends car by photo cam in SF. They had the owner go to court and say he was drunk at a bar and paid some guy to drive him home and paid for his cab. No problem. No fault.

Aha..but the criteria... 3 major offenses or 15 offenses for which you received points within a 5 year period. = habitual traffic offender.
Apparently you can have your license revoked if
"you are found guilty of an immoral act in a motor vehicle."

What could this mean in the long run for the radar detectors that are sold. They are quite a big and profitable business.

The theory of it is somewhat similar to the new russian passive radar systems that do not emit direct radar waves but instead look for disturbances in the over all rf/magnetic fields. Can't remember the details, but if you search for it you'll find those and the reason Pentagon is scrambling to come up with new stealth fighter designs.

I believe they are saying that if you prove you have a plate and intended to use it you only have to actually pay $10. (is that correct?) I know it's similar here in FL for brakelights out, etc, but we arent required to have front plates.

Here, there is a law that if an unmarked car attempts to pull you over, you have the legal right to drive to a police station and pull over. It was in the news about a year ago about a woman who was attempted to be pulled over by an unmarked car, and she called the police on her cell phone. The police station said they didn't have anyone in pursuit in her location, and they sent 3 troopers to pull both cars over... turned out that the "unmarked police car" was a serial rapeist (?sp?) .

No. In Cali you still pay the processing fee. That's the $10.

This is where a rear window led marque would come in handy. Have it scroll
"For my own safety, I must insist that a clearly marked police car pull me over. I will proceed to the nearest police station untill my safety concerns are met."

Right, I just meant it's the same principle, the fine is waived. I'm pretty sure Fl doesnt have the processing fees. But they will revoke your license if you masturbate in your car. Or think about it. It's immoral. Just like anal. There, I had to do it.
