Sorry if I sound dumb but all this stuff is new to me. Also can I get the gps atenna on this website?
For voice I wouldn't go with a VIA, but I guess I've gotten spoiled by my P4. M1-ATX is a 90w power supply. Its better because its cheaper and smaller than the opus 90w.
HD - get any Hd you want. 2.5" is slower (most of the time), more expensive, and can store less. But they are quieter.
Powermate - do you like the BMW iDrive? Well, its similar, but less functional. There are a few guys working on an iDrive clone
GPS - Search the hardare forum for OEM GPS.

I really appreciate all the support you guys are giving me Its helping me feel alot more confident in attempting this on my own. My first step now is searching the stuff I am going to buy for the cheapest price I can find. I do want to support this site so which products on this site are a pretty good deal? Scott_fx I am not sure if I need an amp yet but if I do you will be the first guy I go to. bodaciousllama I live in La Verne, so I'm pretty close to Cucamonga. 0l33l I was reading about that idrive thing and it sounds pretty cool how soon do you think they could clone that thing? Again thanks guys for all the support.

Well, if you don't need an AMP then I guess there will be more selection for me... but it depends on what kind of amp
the iDrive is a real pain the way BMW implemented it. I wouldn't worry about it for now. Projects on this board usually take a while to complete I like the movement of the iDrive system, but I don't like the features they tied up into it. So if I get one, I'd hook it up to the FF/REV, next/prev song, vol up/down, etc. But the problem is that the system wouldn't look good in my car, and I'm hacking the stock volume buttons for volume control.

Why do you need a nav bezel? Look in the fabrication subforum for how to do that.

since he's buying a spare one anyways the nav bezel is better suited for molding a screen in there. it drops the a/c controls down and give a nice clean square opening.
if you look at the two pics i posted you can see the difference.

I know what you mean about the square opening. But I don't really see the A/C controls being moved down

Go and ask an audioshop if you get a new headunit if it will require an new amp.

look at the little 'pocket' in the non nav. it's not there in the nav dash. the ac controls are lowered down to that area.

909 is in the Ontario/Chino/Rancho Cucamonga area, more specific "Inland Empire"
