Acurabot - Pure insanity
I just thought that I'd point to this in case anyone hasn't seen it yet -- it's currently making the gadget blog rounds, so probably if you have a carpc and someone knows about it, they'll send you this link...
Not strictly a car pc but holy hell

I duno.. all that flash and bling makes me think all money and no sense. All this car makes me want to do is spit sunflower seeds in his floorboards just to watch him cycle.

Well to be fair to whoever made it -- it's just a show car and probably not meant to be driven at all (Reference the monitors in the engine compartment - they would melt if that engine was operated for more than a couple minutes at most). As a media piece, etc. it might even turn a profit if it can win some decent prize money. Obviously there is some serious sponsorship coming to him from blaupunkt, so other than the time it took, it probably wasn't terribly expensive either -- I'd put it at <$100K
Plus, if you're going to rice your car out, you might as well go all out

I think that it's a demo vehicle from Blaupunkt. Lots of manufacturers build show cars like these all the time, and trailer them to events. Ever see Alpines latest show vehicles? The single-seat Civic they just did makes this one look tame by comparison: http://ecominet2.alpine-usa.com/html....html?par=p1c4

I couldn't even count how many monitors were in that thing.
Hahaha "No cupholders".
I was trying to figure out why it was called "Acurabot" when I saw the painted doors about halfway down the page. Nice paint job, so that's where they got the name I was thinking to myself as I scrolled to the bottom of the page. Last couple pictures...Hmm, that's odd, why would they have the screens open like....oh. Well. Damn.
I like the purple hairdryer in this picture: http://www.gspr.com/blau/images/_car...drvr_1_300.jpg

gothate:
I think the 'acurabot' doesn't come from the paint job but the fact that the entire car is themed after the transformers. There is an entire transformer body that raises up from the back hatch and the entire dash/center console is transformers too. The paint job is just icing on the robot cake.
Anyway, I poste this because it's an impressive amount of work.. It's completely not my style, but if I were going to totally rice out a car, I'd stop at nothing short of this bad boy. (I can almost hear my old BMW 7 serieis crying "nooooo don't rice me out" from the driveway!)

8 monitors within reach of the driver, but no power door locks.
