Connections to the back of the computer

Right now I have a keypad that is hooked up to my ps/2 port, when I get the Iron Man IR controller its going to go in the com port spot. I am using a laptop computer and I wanted to invest in an external harddrive holder that plugs into the parrallel port. I want to know what the Inmotion LCD screen plugs into and if its not a good idea what other ways I can go.

inmotions LCD screen plugs into a parallel port. However, mp3ondemand.com will ship serial screen soon, if not already

I want to buy an LCD to run on a windoze95-based winamp box, and was looking at the In-motion panel. Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't the winAMP plugin require a parallel-connected LCD? or will serial work just as well?

Another cool-looking LCD I was looking at was at www.matrix-orbital.com This is a serial LCD that comes with an optional 5-1/4" PC Bay insert. I'm still not clear as to whether or not this would would with winamp..

The inmotion LCD screens are parallel and are designed for the winamp plugin. the other LCD screen you spoke of , the Optex LCD does not have a HD44780 chip. What this chip does is interperit commands sent from the parallel port. The Optex screen has a diffrent type of chip, one not compatible with the winamp plugin (to the best of my knowledge) However, mp3ondemand.com will release either software and /or a plugin for winamp to send commands to their LCD screen , which is compatible with the current winamp plugin

The matrix-orbital display is compatible with CAJUN software from cajun.current.nu if you are of the notion to run linux.

Goliath needs to get a USB2 external hdd, or firewire.
I'm sure his '99 laptop has both of those connections.
Then, the paralell port will be freed up.

At least my whoring is halfway useful.
