The cda files aren't actually the music. Use a ripper like corvin mentioned.

yeah, that's the problem with new cds. the first track of the cd is an error. which makes it unreadable to the computer, which, unlike normal cd players, insist on reading it. cd players just skip the error and try to play the other tracks that work.

one workaround is getting a sharpie (as in a permanent black marker), and blacking out a circle of the cd's innermost part. that works. but i doubt you'd want to do that, because you might also black out some of the first track of the real music.

file sharing would have been the solution on this one, but the quality's not as good as the real thing.

oh another probable situation would be that the cd is a multiple-SESSION cd. right click on the drive that the cd is in and click on properties or something. and select the other session. see if that works.

any ideas?

and, when under iTunes, I don't have the option to convert those tracks to ACC but I can atleast listen to them

????

Make a new music CD. Select the CD as the source and add all the track##.CDA files.
Burn the CD and you'll have a CD with ONLY the music and none of the other crap.
