Post Need some opinions, guys....

I'm trying to decide how I'm going to work my MP3 player in my car with a Seiko L4034 4x40 LCD with (preferably) a programable keypad. What software/plugins would be best to use with a kepad and an LCD display? I want something that'll show me what I'm browsing through on the LCD.

Also, I'm thinking of ordering a programmable keypad from Electrone, Inc. Has anyone used/seen these?:

FP-21 Programmable Keypad

Or if anybody knows a program/plugin I can use with just a standard 10-key, what would it be?

Any ideas...? Any help would be appreciated.

Assuming you will be running windows + winamp, this is exactly what you are looking for. its a great plugin for lots of difference lcd displays and has built in keypad support.

And winamp is very helpful when it comes to shortcuts, only thing that might worry me, is whether or not the device can be programmet to use keys like shift, alt and ctrl.

If this is possible you have a setup that will be quite easy to config.

Yeah, I'm thinking about using either Windoze/WinAmp with one of the dozens of plugins available, or I'm just gonna use DOS/MpxPlay. I was looking through MpxPlay a little the other day and found out the keyboard can be customized. So I guess all I'll need is a keypad.

I'll try out Mr. Zehnder's plugion as well. Thanks guys!

Question

Istrunk: Something I forgot to ask. Is MpxPLay easy to use and navigate with your keypad and LCD display?

Can I actually see the directories and their contents when I browse through them?
