where did you get them for $25 and who makes the LCD, and how good is it??
you might want to check out flat-panel to see if they can help you, or check on eBay or just do a google search for the model number of it.

Earthlcd.com has taken over flat-panel.com

Woot! Just got my screen, now I got to figure-out how to hook it up
Earth lcd has this schematic for the converter board http://earthlcd.com/cnt4lu4e.pdf .
The only thing I'm not famillar with is the IC(?-JP3). Is this something I can get from radioshack?
And the powersupply, is there somewhere I can buy that cheap? Easy to make?
Can't wait to get this going

Hello g60
jp3 is a connector/header 13x2
not a ic.
Let me know when it works.

Ok, this header, is it just to connect the red, green, blue, and c-sync to ground?
I guess it's not really needed
I just need to find out what the values for the resitors and caps on the power supply are, and find some small ribbon cable.

This header is for connectin the lcd to the motherboard if it has a lcd controller on board.
Let me know if you find the values of the components.

I wired my screen last night, I've just done a real basic version of Earths board.
Since i'm just going to use ntsc, I've igroned JP3 & JP4. Also I figured finding a tiny flat ribbon cable would be pretty impossible, so I removed(/broke ) the connector(JP5). The lcds circut board has an open hole for all pins, so I just carefully soldered some ide cables on.
I'm going at lunch to find a power supply, so hopefully tonight I'll have a picture

actually, i just got one of those screens also, and when i inquired to earthlcd i got the same response. however, i decided to call them and i was prepared to argue my way into getting one, but the guy i talked to said that they sell them independent of the screen.
i talked to Al when i called them, and the price is $25.

No luck last night
I wired it like this.
I used a 8v voltage regulator hooked up to my computers 12v, no blown fuses on the lcd. Backlight works.
The only thing I'm not sure about is how I wired pots - 5v to middle, ground on one side, and output on other side. Correct?

No you must put the 5Volt on one side the output in the middle and the ground on the other side. then it's the same as the drawing.
your drawing is oke to me.
hello mp3z24
thanks for the info when i get mine lcd in the mail (europe takes some time) i'll have a look like g60, if i can't find a way to let it work i've to order one controller.

I think I've blown the 5v output
Tonight I'm going to try using the 5v from my computer.
