The biggest difference I see between this and an Advantech board is that the Advantech board will run everything with +5V. This board needs an ATX PS which is somewhat problematical in a car. The Advantech boards are also smaller at 42.5 sq in for the 586X series.

The TV out would be nice though and the higher processor speed. If it wasn't for the PS issue, I would probably get one.

If you don't mind spending about $150 for a 70W ATX power supply email Jeff Mucha : mucha@skylab.org. The thing works great with my FV-24 and it's very small in size...

One other "small" difference between these and Advantech boards.... _no_ LCD controller.

so thats an extera 199 for a controller. Why are lcd controllers so dang expensive?
