Metallized tint an stripline antennas?

I want to get my windows tinted and when i do so i want a metallized tint to be used so that it does not fade over time. The radio antenna in my car is a strip of foil laminated to my rear windshield much like the defroster strips. My car's owner's manual warns me against using a metallized tint stating that it could screw up my radio reception. I called a guy at one of the local tint shops and asked if he had ever heard of this problem. He told me that while he had heard this rumor it is nothing more than a rumor and would not cause me a problem. Does anybody know anything about this?

Get some ceremic tint. It won't fade over time and own't block off your radio signals.

Ceramic is the new tint being used? I have heard there is a new tint because of cars like the Mercedes that can not be tinted but I did not know what the tint was actually made of.
