How Much Have You Spent?

I started out with a budget of $650 half way through building my carpc it doesnt seem possible. Well, like the title says how much have you guys spent building your system?. I want to get a average cost so that people know how expensive this can get and if its worth it to them. I want just anything relating to the Carputer, please dont include cost of sound system, such as speakers subwoofers and amps powering subwoofers (if amp is used to power signal coming out of the carpc please include that)

most expensive part was buying the wrong crap, and ebaying/mp3carclassifieding the junk for less than i paid

gosh ive done this about 4 times

its hard to add up when ya do think like that... but with usb hubs and power adapters and all kinds of cables and splitters and bs like usb IR receivers/powermates/gps/however many FM radios till ya find one that works worth a darn/etc... its not just a screen+puter+psu like i like to tell people ($600?)

edit: in short, i wish i never started... i'd rather have one of those walmart decks at this point

CARPC RUNNING WITHOUT A SINGLE GLITCH AND EXCATLY THE WAY I WANT ------> PRICELESS

i have probably broke into the $2k...I went with name brand reputable parts on everything, maybe thats why MY CAR PC HAS BEEN RUNNING WITHOUT A GLITCH SINCE THE INSTALL with gps, mp3 audio and video.

I spent a total of about $400 for mine, I think the most of that was spent on double din adapters and paint

Collectivly - about 3,000.00 but I've been at it for years, and keep upgrading stuff.

My curent system with much cheaper hardware prices would now cost about 1,200.00
