DVD player for cars.

When i install my lilli i want to connect a dvd player to it for now till i build a computer for the car, to play mp3 dvds and movies. i was wondering is there any difference in dvd players for cars, or is there a preferred brand. i can go to the swap shop and get one for like $60, but am not sure if there is a difference in quality and feature. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Also are there any vga dvd players that can work with the touch screen?

Post specific specs of what you're looking to buy, maybe then someone would be willing to help you.

i just want one that plays dvd's, plays mp3's on dvd's and burned dvd's. i do not know much about car dvd players. i was mostly wondering if they are all practically the same and if a company makes one that is touchscreen compatible.

Yeah, carputers. Thats it.
As for auto dvd players, there isn't much difference in quality. Well there is but its like comparing a $30 home set to a $90 namebrand. The lader is going to be better as in features and slightly better picture quality and sound output like spdif.

if your going to be upgrading to a computer eventually then a cheapo dvd player would be the way to go, save that much more for the pc.... if your really looking for good though, you'll want to go with a din sized higher end unit made by a car stereo company.... alpine being one of the best..... but this could cost half as much as doing a pc in the first place.....

I have a NESA brand Car DVD player that plays mp3's, VCD's, mpeg's (media files burned to a regular CD like music videos), and DVD's. I bought it for $150...ill sell it for half that cuz its used if you want...I was actually thinking about putting it in the rear for passengers and plugging it in to the AV2 plug for my rear headrests, but I think thats overkill...
