cnet.com Weekend Project

Article is dated December 7th so I don't know if this has already been posted but I searched for it and didn't find it. You can me if I'm wrong...

Slowly but surely, the carputer is going mainstream. I better get my install started before it becomes the next big trendy thing.

EDIT: oh yeah, his "estimated time" of completion for a carputer project: 2 days. HA!

Perhaps if you bought all the pre-made stuff - you know, spent a ton of money - it could be done. But most of us are more interested in the cheaper, more custom deal.

the first time I built a carpc it took me over a month to complete it, all new wiring, speakers, amp, computer installation, and lcd.
I just finished doing another carpc almost excatly the same as the first time and it only took me 3 days, no pre-made components at all.
.....but I did spend about 12 hours during the day working on it nonstop and didn't take a shower or eat lunch......
