I too would like to know. That is if anyone has a solution.
I have been looking around and even emailing the people destinator and some new zealand mapping companies, and the short answer is: There is Nothing avaliable!

Hi i had navman software trialing on a harrier with a bluetooth conection to gps once, it seamed to go ok but had little issue's like your road can often be listed as not it's well known area name

Personally I have not found anything out there that will even remotely be of any use apart from maybe Tumonz. Although this does not give me turn directions as far as I can tell. Guess I will hav to buy it to find out . All the other software out there (there are some absolutely brilliant ones) only cater for the Northern Hemisphere as though we down here just do not matter.

Guess we dont. lol

I dont think there are any gps software running on Windows. One possible way is to run pocket pc emulator on windows, then use Navman Street Maps and Software with a bluetooth gps reciver.

hey all,

Im a Kiwi in the UK, come home in Jan! YAY!

I'm working for the British Transport Police here, and thru my contacts have been advised that a mapping solution is due to be release early 2007 for NZ.

Fingers crossed hopefully i'll be able to get a hold of some beta's before hand.

2007 Holy moly!!! Thats miles away , I know theres a usb garmin from map world , that has all the maps for extra money , some rental cars use gps, If its any good is the other question. I cant be bothed paying for maps

pate60, do you know if the mapping solution is windows xp based? I mean there are pocket pc based solutions.
