How about using an opus power supply with this but instead of using the atx power connection just use the 12v connection from the PSU.
Just a thought. WIll this work.
IF not, sorry I just thought I would run it by. Not sure if the opus needs to run with the ATX power connector.

I suppose as long as the regulator can handle the current draw on the 12v power plane of that PSU, it would definately not hurt anything... but you have to check the amperage of the 12v power plane of that PSU.

My system is still running fine after over 1 year of operation straight from the battery...

BAHitman,

I'm thinking of replacing my VIA Nano 10000 with an SX260. You have no startup/shutdown controller? Just straight to ACC power? So you have to perform a shutdown or hibernate every time you turn off the car? I know I would never remember...

@ThunderStick
Awesome! I saw another thread where you had used a switch and relay. Thank you!

No need for a relay, infact the relay would work against the PSU. Do not use the relay as shown in that scheme. A switch can be added on wire from your switched 12v or your accessory line. This will allow you to shutdown your PC when not in use. This is what I am doing as we speak.
Yes I am starting my install
