Computer audio skipping and usage 95-100%

Hi I am the new guy and have a problem, my audio is skipping and cpu usage is from 95-100%. I have a VIA EPIA ML8000A, M2 PSU, 80 gig 3.5" HDD, and a slim drive dvd. I searched for common problems and saw that some say the on board audio is the prob. So I added a soundblaster card and the skipping will start right away some times and some times after a couple songs. Before I added the sound card it would skip right from the get go. I am playing songs thru Frodo and Media Player with the same results. I don't have anything else installed on the pc besides windows and frodo. I appreciate the help.

First off, this is the FAQ Emporium. This isn't a FAQ, so it shouldn't be posted here. Pay better attention next time.

If you have a process that's pegging the CPU usage, you need to determine what process is causing the high CPU usage. If that process can be disabled or reconfigured to use less CPU, that's the ticket.

Start with the Task manager: Ctrl-Shift-Esc and check the processes tab.

I've heard that windows media player 10 uses alot of processing power. Maybe someone could provide you with more information.
I had a similar problem but now use RoadRunner, Freedrive and WinAmp. Only tested a couple of one hour journeys but seems to be fine now.
