No... more like what if you have a new Civic Si or MkV VW GTI... the stock Nav system is a 2Din unit and they have OEM steering wheel controls. If you where to replace the factory HU with a CarPC only (no aftermarket or stock HU), then you would lose the ability to use your steering wheel controls (without making some stuff yourself). So I was wondering if a Car2PC adapter might become available for this application.

You can. Get a MitchJS adapter (www.rush2112.net), a SIR-ALP1 and roadrunner and you're all set. It works amazingly well.

It can be done no prob. Still most cars are unique, so it will take some time to figure out...

Yes, steering wheel controls are sent to HU and then Car2PC will send them to the PC no prob.

^ I'm sorry, I am probably not being clear enough. There is no HU anymore. You have removed the HU. No intermediary HU to receive commands and send them to the PC. NO HU in the house. There is only the CarPC and the car has steering wheel controls. Is there or will there be a way to connect the two?

The idea is for something like this, but instead for PC's...
