I don't get this? How is the fact that he was trying to steal the car irrelevant? That's the entire and only reason that he threw the bottle in the first place. Sure, he could've handled the situation differently, but that doesn't make the thief's actions irrelevant. Him trying to steal the car has complete relevance in regards to the victim's reaction.

Sorry if that sounds bad - But I'm just trying to understand this because that makes no sense to me

i would just be concerned that the 50,000 volts would screw up some of my cars precious electrical system, god forbid my PC... but as far as someone breaking into my car getting killed because of it, so be it... if i caught them they would get shot anyway

Hint: Anything triggered manually is not considered a boobytrap (i.e. alarm AUX output). Just set it to the 1 sec pulse mode.
