Looking for sound blocking headphones!

OK, this may not be the correct section of the forum, but I guess it's as close as you can get on mp3car, right? For my car setup I need a few sound blocking headphones, because my kids usually wants to listen to other stuff than we adults do in the front seats. So I would like some headphones that blocks out the sound from the headunit better than what they have now. They are each using a rather cheap (50 bucks or so) closed headset, I think they are Philips. I would like something that's comfortable to wear, but blocks out as much outside sound as possible. Does anybody have a suggestion?

Thanks in advance!

www.sweetwater.com has a ton of iso- headphones, may be more than you want to spend as they do pro-audio for musicicans, but they do have a great selection of phones and top notch service, I've used tehm several times.

Thank you very much! They have some cheaper models as well (anything below 50 dollars is cheap in that respect), so I will shoot them an E-mail and check which one blocks environmental sounds out the most!

Woops... The stuff they have, JVC HA-G101, are only 10-15 bucks in the US! Which means that they are more than cheap, they are crappy!

*EDIT: Ok, I had this long reply put in, then it triple posted it for some reason, and now it's gone......crap*

Anyway, was saying that I've been very pleased with these: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....=1091101528169

It's a pair of Sony in-the-ear headphones that kinda slide in the ear canal instead of just sitting in the ear like normal ear buds that come with a lot of equipment. They pretty much seal off the ear and do a really good job cutting out external sounds. And for the price I think they sound terrific, and I'm pretty picky when it comes to music and sound quality. Some people don't like putting things in their ears (kind of like those foam ear plugs you'd roll up and stick in your ears), but I find these very comfortable over a long period of time, much more so than the normal ear buds that just sit in the outside part of the ear.

They (Sony and a few other brands) also make versions of these in-ear phones that also have active noise cancelling built-in but not sure of the quality of the noise cancelling and it may not be worth the $$ for the added benefit. From what I've experienced noise cancelling is mainly good for cutting constant external low-frequency type sounds like that off an airplane engine or road noise, it's not good for cutting out external conversations or other "variable" sounds like that.
