Anyway, was saying that I've been very pleased with these:

It's a pair of Sony in-the-ear headphones that kinda slide in the ear canal instead of just sitting in the ear like normal ear buds that come with a lot of equipment. They pretty much seal off the ear and do a really good job cutting out external sounds. And for the price I think they sound terrific, and I'm pretty picky when it comes to music and sound quality. Some people don't like putting things in their ears (kind of like those foam ear plugs you'd roll up and stick in your ears), but I find these very comfortable over a long period of time, much more so than the normal ear buds that just sit in the outside part of the ear.
They (Sony and a few other brands) also make versions of these in-ear phones that also have active noise cancelling built-in but not sure of the quality of the noise cancelling and it may not be worth the $$ for the added benefit. From what I've experienced noise cancelling is mainly good for cutting constant external low-frequency type sounds like that off an airplane engine or road noise, it's not good for cutting out external conversations or other "variable" sounds like that.
