Timetrax power source?

The timetrax XM adapter come with a 12v wall adapter. Does anyone know if this unit can safely handle the 10v-13.8v that my car is gonna put out or should I hook up some regulated power for it?

The XM Direct box, if it's a small metal, rectangular box with a large XM signal on it, is actually designed for the car. It will be fine.

Yeah, i figured that, but the problem is it goes through the timetrax unit and i'm not sure if it draws any power or does anything with it, or just acts as a passthrough.

Whatever, I guess i'll try it and hope it doesn't blow

Possibly passes through.. you could get a 12v-12v power regulator if you're very concerned.
