Some pics of install

Here is a pic of stage I:

if pic doesn't show: http://nweb.pct.edu/homepage/student...96/lcdin00.jpg

The computer, hance the name "carPUTER" is mounted in the trunk. It is powered off a 400watt inverter that is triggered by a relay and a "kill" switch connected to the ACC line of the car.

I'm not nearly finished, I plan in replacing the screen with non-glare lexan and matching it better with the interior...among other things.

For those who want specs:

Hardware:
*266Mhz Pentuim II
*192MB SDRAM
*10GB 7200rpm Maxtor HD
*6x DVD-ROM drive
*Turtlebeach Santacruz soundcard
*ATI TV-Wonder video capture card
*Connectix quickcam
*Wireless mini keyboard/mouse combo
*IRman Infared Reciever
*Sherwood A50x4 Amplifier

Display
*6.4" SVGA LCD
(mounted in place of the cupholder, stereo, and dumb cubbyhole)

Software:
*Windows 95 (OS)
*Winamp 2.78 (for MP3)
*Vidamp Pluging & Media player (for Video)
*ATI TV
*ATI video-in (for back-up cam)
*Q3, UT, and other games
*Assortment of other progs...

Very slick. Where'd you get the plastic for the frame around the screen?

If you hadn't noticed yet, I think your site is down.

Thanks!

The frame around the screen is framing board. I had it cut at a framing place downtown I just slapped plexiglas (soon to be replaced) over it, and... wah-la!

Yeah, my site is down I dunno what's up with that. I think it might be a routing problem with the gateway (NOT THE COMPANY lol) box upstairs.
