Ex-audio store warranty issues
Hi there everyone!
More than one month has passed since I received confirmation from the Ex-audio store that they had received an indash monitor I sent them. I'm having trouble communicating with them because the guy who answers my emails seems not to understand me. (My English is by no means perfect, but I'd say I can make myself clear sometimes...)
His name is Yan (yan -/@ /* ex-audio.com ) and I wondered if you know other personnel within the ex-audio sales dept. who could take care of this.
Thanks in advance.

This guy sale screen and such on fleeebay. I haven't buy anything from them, but if you need warrantee info, good luck. Like many other fleebay saler, once you receive the good, you on your own.

This is getting worse day by day... Last email was something like "warranty won't cover your monitor repair". They just asked me for another 70€ (86USD) for the repair and shipping costs :S

I have an Ex-Audio screen, and it works fine except for me blowing up the 800x600 resolution (different story), but they don't do warranties or returns. They are a Chinese eBay company based in Hong Kong. Once you get your stuff, they are rid of you forever. If you send back a product "under warranty" they will probably tell you, you broke it your fault, and you have to pay for shipping both ways to china plus a cost for their time. If it breaks, buy a new one.
Simply put, good luck getting your screen back, and even if eBay auctions say warranty, there isn't one. That's why it is eBay...

I purchased a screen from Ex-Audio, which turned out to be defective. However, in my case, all I had to do was e-mail Ex-Audio, mail the screen back to them (to China), and they sent me a new one a few weeks later. For a foreign company that sells products over e-bay, I was pretty satisfied with the service.

How long did you have it before you sent it back for repair?

I had mine for less than a year.
Sorry for my English, but... What do you mean by "fill a charge back"?

If you paid by credit card you can file a complaint with the credit card company.
If you paid by PayPal you can file a complaint with them.
Good luck my friend!

This should only be used as a last resort. I hate people that abuse this or use it for the wrong reason. You bought it. Pay for it. If it is not what is advertised and they won't accept it, then email them with your intent to file a complaint and see what happens.
When you file a complaint, the credit card company refuses to pay the amount to the store. This means you get something for free (dishonest) and the store is now out both the amount you paid, and the percent the credit card company charges for a credit buy, and a fee for a complaint. It is a pain in the *** if it happens to your store/business and you wouldn't want that to happen to you. So try before you screw them over completely.
I agree they should be better at responding by email, but try again at least with a threat of a complaint. If they don't bother to respond, them too bad for them.

I used a credit card and paypal.
I sent them this email 5 days ago:
"Ten days after your last message, I still have no news about my monitor.
I am now considering to take legal action and to vote negatively against you through e-bay and since I am considering this a complete fraud. More than one month and ten days have passed since you _received_ the item; and here I am, with no screen and no money.
This is totally unacceptable."
Obviously, they didn't bother to respond.
Time for a different strategy?
BTW, and totally OT; to releive some stress... 2k1Toaster, your avatar rocks

If you paid by paypal, good luck with that one, their customer service sucks. A couple months back they charged me twice for the same product, It took me well over a week of calling them constantly for them to even acknowledge that I was charged twice for the same product. In the end they didnt even do anything about it, my bank ended up crediting me and taking it up with them on their own time. UFCK PAYPAL
