Free picture hosting - my personal server
I'm sick of seeing 's. ("red x's")
I finally got my server script working (I think lol) to allow remote uploading, so I'm allowing all mp3car members to use it as free picture hosting.
There are some rules though:
*Only picture files (.jpg , .jpeg )
*File name <i>must</i> be lowercase, along with extension
*No spaces
*Try to keep file size under 300k max.
*MP3car related only please.
*Password is "vwa" (no quotes)
Go here to upload ->>> http://www.carloscalmon.com/uploader.htm
Your URL link to your pic will be:
http://24.159.133.44/upload/filename.jpg
"filename.jpg" would be replaced with the name of the file you uploaded.
Remember, <b>lowercase file names and extensions only</b> or it may not work properly.
Enjoy

I can host pictures too, if anyone needs me to.
Just email me, birrman54@subzerotech.com and attach the pics.
Try and keep the pics to less than 5, and fairly small 300K seems fine.
Mp3 Car doesn't get a huge amount of traffic so I think I can take the bandwith.
the site is www.subzerotech.com

*Warning*
The server currently doesn't check to see if the filename has been used already.
Because of this I stress the idea of using unique filenames (i.e. "ppgt94carsetup01.jpb")
But eventhing seems to be working fine so far.
I'm working on a script that allows everyone to have their own directory.

Why not just host them on MP3Car.com? People keep overlooking that!

'cause it's a PITA, and if you just upload them, you can't link to them.

That's one off the things I use my user space for, and it seems to work fine. However I think what your doings great, and I'm sure it'll be of use to others.

Total re-design underway: on the whole progress is very slow as the car is taking up too much time :)

Simple then, don't use it.
It's free and I thought I'd help people out. I'm just gonna take it down. It's slows down my network too much anyways.
