Domain names are fun

I just registered mpegbox.org

They got mpegbox.com before I did. :-( well they registered it some time in the last year and I didn't...

Before I named my site, I did a search on mpegbox on all the search engines and nothing but some thing in Japan turned up.

I'm going to have to revamp my site now with mpegbox3 stuff and mpbs1 info.

Jeff

Almost every domain name i've looked at registering has been taken, yet gives a dns error, or is like www.bgoodman.com and is just a site, setting there
i'll get one, eventually

The worst is www.mp3mini.com which is owned by greatdomains.com, and if I want it, it'll cost me $300+ looks like I'll have to stick with the .tk for now.

Total re-design underway: on the whole progress is very slow as the car is taking up too much time :)

Domain Names suck. All the "ODYSSEY" sites are taken. I'm still trying to think of another good name.

I own a number of domains:

mpug.co.uk - which will be my mp3car site when it is finished - as I drive a Peugeot so a pun on MPEG - MPUG.

I also own mp3cars.co.uk which was going to be a UK site similar to mp3car.com but think I may just leave mp3car.com to thrive.

Heh, I had no trouble getting aaroncake.net or lqforum.com ...The latter is up for renewal in a few days, and even though I am closing the site that it belongs to I will renew the name for a few more years...
