Thanks for the quick response...I did look it over again and you are correct - The ribbon cable does release from the connector but it ripped just before that point. Much relief because I guess i just have to look for a replacement now. Anybody know where i can find - ribbon cable E244685 awm 20798 80C 60V VW -1 or if there is anything out there that would work comparable to it.

i think what DCS meant, was that the connector on the board has some type of locking mechanism on it, it may be one that lets a part of the connector slide out, or it might be the kind that flip up. many devices have these kinds of connectors, my monitor (cheap e-bay one) had the kind that slides out and releases the cable, then just pushes back in to secure it again.

One my lilliput when i took it apart, it was a pain to put back correctly so if you can put it back and power it on, if it doesn't come on, try to loosen it and reseat it just in case. I had to do it around 8 times on my lilli before I got it right. Note to self..never take that dude apart again!!
