extra usb?

i need more usb plugs, what should i do?

Buy pci usb adapter.
Check mobo for extra USB headers.
Buy a HUB.

Buy pci usb adapter.= no room in my case.
Check mobo for extra USB headers. = already used it up(only one on m10000)
Buy a HUB = notenough power to run 4 ports. and extra power requires 5V and car is 12v.


any ideas?

any ideas?

Tap into the 5volt rail(red wire) on a molex connector, now you will have 5volts for a USB hub. Be sure you won't over work your PSU with a USB hub added.

buy the opus POL from the mp3car store and wire up a 10 port usb hub

You still need to calculate how much power your already drawing without the hub from the PSU to make sure you haven't reach the 90w limit. Here is a power wattage calculator from the FAQ section under power supplies.
